As a past participant of the Illinois PGA Foundation Meyer-Brown-Miller Invitational, we are asking you to please save the date for the 2023 Meyer-Brown-Miller Invitational which is scheduled to take place Monday, October 23rd through October 25th in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The Meyer-Brown-Miller Invitational allows participants to enjoy a golf getaway to historic Pinehurst, North Carolina and support the Illinois PGA Foundation’s Meyer-Brown Educational Scholarship Endowment.
Named in memory of Alice Meyer Brown, an accomplished amateur golfer and local club champion, the Alice Meyer Brown scholarship seeks to encourage and promote the attainment of higher education for graduating high school women who have continued to demonstrate academic excellence in the classroom, while accomplishing outstanding achievements in golf.
The Louis M. Brown Scholarship seeks to encourage and promote the attainment of higher educational goals for high school men who have excelled in the game of golf, achieved academic excellence in the classroom and have demonstrated leadership in the community.
These scholarships are awarded annually, with annual renewals for eligible students through their college education. Scholarship administration is provided by the Illinois PGA Foundation.
Teams will be made up of one (1) Illinois PGA Professional with three (3) amateurs. All Illinois PGA Professionals will golf with a full paying team of three (3) amateurs. Entry fees from all three amateurs must be received by August 15 to reserve a spot in the field.
All Participants will receive: 3 rounds of golf, golf carts, range balls, and caddies on Forest Creek Golf Club’s North and South courses and at Pine Needles GC, ‘Scholarship Dinner Reception, Closing Scoring Luncheon, Amateur gift package, daily on-course prize, and optional skins game entry.
Teams are responsible for arranging their individual lodging during their stay.
9:30 AM – Shotgun at Forest Creek Golf Club – North. Lunch in the clubhouse following play.
6:00 PM – Meyer-Brown-Miller Scholarship Reception.
9:00 AM – Tee times begin at Pine Needles Golf Club. Lunch will be provided following play.
Evening – TBA. The Illinois PGA will be arranging additional activity/get togethers for players.
9:30 AM – Shotgun at Forest Creek Golf Club – South. Lunch will be provided following play as well as a brief awards ceremony before the event concludes.
